Step-by-Step
Meeting Procedures
1. Meetings are scheduled every Wednesday,
January through November, 12:15 to 1:00pm.
2.
Luncheon meal tickets are available at the front entrance at the St.
Catharines Golf & Country Club. Single lunches are $18.00, full
5-meal ticket is $90.00 tax included.
3.
A leads sheet is available inside the meeting room. These sheets are used to write down and
submit any information that you feel may benefit club
members. (i.e. new business opening, a business moving,
closing, staff changes, etc. Rumours are not acceptable.)
4.
Name badges are to be worn at every meeting. Be sure
to return your badge to the badge locker after each
meeting. Members will be responsible for replacing lost
name badges.
5.
There is no pre-arranged seating plan or reserved seats.
Take a seat at any table and introduce yourself.
6.
The meeting will be called to order promptly at 12:15
by the president.
7.
Before lunch, a member is chosen at random to say club
grace.
8.
A toast is then made to the Queen and Canada.
9.
The president asks if there are any guests
present, and if so, they are to be introduced by their
host member.
10.
The introductions are followed by “beefs”
and “bouquets” being compliments or complaints
from on member to another, or club related.
11.
Lunch
12.
Following lunch, the President will again call the meeting
to order and go over any club related business.
13.
Each member, when their turn arrives, stands
and states their name and place of business and gives
any leads they may have. Members without a lead are
required to donate $2.00 to the club draw. If a lead
is provided, you donate $0.25
14.
After the leads are given and there is a guest speaker
present, they are introduced and speak for approximately
10 to 15 minutes, followed by a question and answer
period. The speaker is then thanked and presented a
token gift.
15.
The President concludes the meeting with a draw for
the earlier collected money. All members are in the
draw.
16.
The meeting is adjourned.
