Julie Kwiecinski, Director of Provincial Affairs, Ontario for the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) spoke at the St. Catharines Business Club on Wednesday June 21st on the topic: Ontario’s swift & surprise minimum wage hikes and sweeping labour changes: What would they mean to your small business & the economy?  Julie has served as CFIB's Director of Provincial Affairs since July 2016.  She works to determine the organization's legislative strategy and priorities based on member feedback.  She represents the views of 42,000 Ontario small and medium sized business members to all levels of government, business groups and media.  Julie spoke about the proposed changes and implementation of an increase in the minimum wage in Ontario and the negative impact it will have on the small business owner, student jobs, increased cost of goods and services as a result.
